On December 4th, a 3-minute sex tape was uploaded onto a personal blog under the title, “Famous Celebrity ‘A”s Sex Video“, which drew immediate interest. The clip is wrecking havoc online, as the woman in the video is said to resemble one of Korea’s most elite celebrities.
The video was uploaded by individual ‘C’, who claims to be the friend of ‘B’, the ex-boyfriend of celebrity ‘A’. Explaining why they uploaded the video, ‘C’ explained, “I was sick and tired of ‘A’ being so selfish and fake, always hurting all the people that she is surrounded by.”
More details regarding C’s reasons could not be confirmed, however, individual A’s nude photos were shared along with her passport photo.
In 2010, a netizen had illegally used singer/actress Solbi‘s identity on an adult website, causing the public to believe that Solbi had a sex tape. The matter was resolved once the police further investigated the situation. Fans are concerned that this may be a similar case.
An insider from the cyber Special Victims Unit remarked, “The video can only be deleted if the person(s) directly involved file a complaint, and because individual A has yet to come forward, we cannot lawfully remove the video.”
“We are investigating the situation closely, and the results should be revealed later this afternoon,” the insider continued.
The Korea Communications Standards Commissions also added, “We cannot forcibly remove a video that has been uploaded onto a personal blog. All we can do at this point is strongly recommend the user to delete the video from his or her site.”
